The Kunshan Culture & Art Center (KSCAC) was invested and developed by Kunshan City Development and Investment Co., Ltd. As a major cultural project managed by Beijing Poly Theatre Management Co., Ltd., KSCAC is the only professional performing arts facility in the city. Located in the western sub-center, KSCAC boasts easy accessibility and an attractive surrounding environment. It is located south of the Forest Park and southwest of the Sports Center, which sits opposite to it across a river.

The first phase has a built area of 71,255.8 sqm. Designed by Cui Kai, a prominent architect from China Architecture Design & Research Group, the facility has four stories above the ground and three stories below the ground. The design of the whole complex incorporates the elements of Kunqu Opera and Bingdi lotuses, perfectly blending with its surrounding water environment to create the ambience of a water town. The center is composed of a performing arts center, a convention center, a movie theatre and a parking lot. It is a multi-purpose cultural facility that can cater to cultural exchange, convention, exhibition, leisure and recreational needs.
